Cabin Grade Hardwood Floors
Cabin Grade refers to a quality of the wood used in the construction of
hardwood flooring.
A hardwood floor that is refered to as "Cabin Grade" will have more of the woods natural imperfections such as knots and knot holes, mineral streaks, color and grain variances, bug holes, splits or cracks, etc.
When purchasing this product, always order extra stock as there will be pieces too distressed to use. Many times, because of the nature of the flooring, a Cabin Grade product will be without manufacturer's warranty.
If you are looking for a floor that will be completely flawless, you should choose a different type of floor. But if you want a floor with more character and a rustic feel, these are great floors to add to your home's decorating style.
